One year ago today
So one year ago today i lost my best friend in a car accident where officials found her unconscious and mangled in her car. She was rushed to the near by hospital, Eastern Idaho Medical center, where they declared her brain dead and she was having a hard time sustaining life. There she was put on life support just long enough to see if she would come out of consciousness and for her friends and family to come say their goodbyes for she probably wouldnt make it.
That night i when i received the phone call from Ellyn's mom i was on a movie date with mike to see the new Robin Hood. I rushed out of the movie theatre and answered my phone. As soon as i heard the news i collapsed to the floor and started crying un-controllably i couldn't believe what i was hearing. After i hung up the phone i stayed in that spot for several minutes, i remember i couldn't even get up. About half hour after i wondered out, Mike came out and i told him the news. He helped me up, and we walked to the car together. It was already to late for me to say goodbye, she had already passed peacefully by the time the news got to me.
So today in memory of my best friend, i thought i would compile all the pictures i could find of her and her family and friends and make it into a memorial video. Heres my final project....
Life without my best friend has been the hardest, but i know that god had a plan for her and a plan for me and this is how he wanted it to be. he wanted her to help guide me through life and for her to always be watching over her family and friends.and he wanted her to be there waiting for us at the gate when its our time.
Ellyn, Tonight i'm sitting here doing the same thing i did when your mom called me and told me about your accident a year ago. i cannot help but let my tears gently fall when i think about you, I love you Ellyn and I never got to tell you how truly great you are and what a fun loving friend you always will be. So until we meet again, you will always be in my heart ♥
